Duke just called me... Eric pulled his breathing tube out again!!!! They had him restrained and he still managed to do it. Those of you that know Eric know that he's not rowdy or the type that would deliberately go against what is right so I've come to the conclusion that its the sedation drugs making him loopy. They are still putting the trach in tomorrow. While the tube was out he did talk to them. They told him they had to put the tube back in--- he laughed and said "yeah, I know". *shrug* He's GOT to behave. ;)

I am praying for Eric, you and the family. I have been following the blog, and I am glad to hear he is improving@!! HOOORAY! I went through a similar situation with my dad a few years ago, and GOD along with PRAYER pulled him through. It truly is an amazing thing; prayer. When he gets out of the hospital, we definetly are getting together. He needs fattening up. I will continue to pray for you guys. Tell him we said hello, We love you all!!! :) Melanie Walker

we are really praying hard for Eric and you. We know that God will bless you and your family. God is good. He has held me up a lot lately, as I'm sure he's doing you. So glad to hear about Eric's mischievousness. That means he's getting back to his old self. And hey, tell him it's time to sign up for softball!!! I'll be keeping a check on you guys,

I hate to say this but if Eric wasn't "fighting" and misbehaving, as you said, I would be worried :)
Ask Eric if he wants me to send him some Varsity hotdogs from Hotlanta?? I can thinks of alot of stuff to fatten him up. We continue to pray and praise the Lord. Please give Eric a kiss and hug for me.

It is such a sigh of relief to hear that Eric is doing better. It is truly amazing how strong that you both are and gives inspiration to us all! We are continuing to pray for your family and determined to see you through this. Tell Carol I said Hi. Angie sends her love. Ben and Jacob ask all the time how Eric is.
