Rhonda Writes -
Carol and I brought the kids up to see Eric today. They didn't get to spend much time with him though... Eric started having a pretty severe headache and his blood pressure shot up right about the time we arrived. Karen (my cousin) rushed over to pick up the kids and Carol and I are still here waiting to talk to the doctor. Eric's also having some problems with the feeding tube. They "think" the food is coming up and aspirating into his lungs. A CT scan showed a small mass (could be fluid, infection...?) in his lung so they put him back on fluids through the IV. These set backs are preventing him from going to Durham Rehab tomorrow but I'd rather him stay put until he's well enough to go. There's something about the weekend... That's when he seems to decline. His pain is better now and he's resting. Keep the prayers coming......

Hello all from the Hedrick's, we on spring break and finally get to respond to your time. Tom has been keeping us informed, plus reading this blog. Everyone is in our thoughts and prayers. Just wondering if Eric could listen to an i-pod since he loves music? Also, a friend told me this quote saying "Yesterday is history, tommrow is a mystery, today is a gift". Take care, be happy, and keep a smile on your face!!
:) love the hedricks
Dear Rhonda,
I am so sorry to hear about your weekend. I am glad that the kids got to see Eric. I know it must be really hard for them. Just know that we all love you and will continue to pray.

Hello Rhonda, It was so good to see you Sunday! I wish we had more time to talk, but I know everyone wanted to speak to you and hug you! It was nice to see Carol too. You girls keep on being strong and taking care of Eric! We love you!
Praying without ceasing,

What an emotional roller coaster for all of you. Thank God you have Eric's mom there as a source of strength & comfort. What would we do w/o family?? Try to be patient. Trust that God has everything all mapped out...not only for Eric, but for each & everyone of us. There are novenas being said for Eric in places you've never even heard of!! Hopefully Autumn will be able to come out to see her brother really soon...that will make him smile!!
