Rhonda Writes-
Yesterday was one of the first times I can truly say that Eric Lacey was more like his old self. His cousins (Morgan, Jarrod and families) are in town. He lit up when he saw them. They joked and laughed and gave him a sense of normalcy. Just what the doctor ordered. They're up there again today and I'm at home catching up on work and listening to 3 boys shoot "guns", 2 baby boys screaming with delight and a little girl that just wants to fit in with all the boys. Calgon? Ha-ha.
It's actually nice to hear a buzz about the house. I know Eric would love to be piled up here in the midst of all the action. I'm heading up there later for my nightly cuddle (I can actually get in bed with him at the new digs) and to close out the day with a little peace and quiet. He told me last night it broke his heart when I left each day. That's probably the most difficult time we've had so far…
The juggling act is becoming more and more difficult. Hopefully God will help me balance everything so I can spend enough time with Eric, the kids and work to keep everyone happy. *sigh* I need a massage. ;)

Dear Rhonda,
The news just gets better and better. I'm so glad more family has come to cheer Eric up. TMI on the snuggle part :) I'm glad you and Eric can have your moments.
Even though it's hard for both of you when you leave I'm sure that the closeness helps! Keep the faith, the Lord will privide.
We love you
Kirsten

Hi Rhonda,

It does my heart good to hear such wonderful news. I'm glad Eric's family was able to come and visit him. I know from experience that you can get down real quick in the hospital and it really makes a difference to see people you love visit. Please let him know how much we love him and his family. More than you guys will ever know. Keep the good news coming. I can't wait to see what God has in store for Eric. Love Ya! Kathy

Glad to hear how good a visit from his cousins made Eric feel! I would like to come see you guys too. I just don't know if it's okay for him to have a lot of company or not. Can you let us know if he's ready for visits? Or if the doctors think it's good or not? (I promise I'll leave the cuddling to you!)
Love you very much,
Patti

Rhonda, that is such great news. I know it had to have made Eric feel better to see some of his family. That's is good medicine for everyone!! I know that he will continue to get better as each day goes by. Take advantage of all those "cuddle" times that you can. I'm sure that means just as much to him at this point, as it does to you. We are still continuing to pray for your whole family. We love you guys so much and can't wait to get together. It's way past due!
