Rhonda Writes-
For those of you that haven't seen Eric, say in the past week, please stop in for a visit. You'll be pleasantly surprised. He is a different person. His attitude and desire to get through this are shining through. His speech has improved so much that you won't have any problems understanding him anymore. He played cards with his son last night. He's using his right hand to hold things, such as cards, papers, etc. He wasn't able to do that a week ago. His right leg is getting stronger too. This morning, the Occupational Therapist put Eric in the wheelchair and rolled him in the bathroom and said "let's see what you can do". He washed his face, brushed his teeth and put on cologne. (You know he's GOT to smell good!) This is the first time he's done any of this. The guy joked with him and said he didn't really need therapy. He helped Eric get his clothes and he got dressed. He spent time with the new therapists today (Occupational, Speech, Physical and Recreational). He also spent time with the Dietician. He's very happy with the facility and the people although he misses the girls downstairs at Select. Susan, Kim and Martha stopped in on their lunch break for a visit. It's amazing the changes that we're seeing take place before our very eyes. Just amazing.

Eric's at the same address:

Man, the news just gets better and betted. You better be careful or one day you'll go to visit Eric and he'll be wandering the halls! I think Eric is just wearing cologne so the girls from "dowstairs" will keep coming to visit :) We're proud of you Eric, keep up the good work.
Love you!!!

Hoo Ray!!! I knew he would get up there! I'm so glad he got that news Friday, he was so down. I don't think anything can stop him now!
Let Eric know the Gateway guys have their first game Thursday night. We expect him back next year.
I hope to see him again this Friday,
Love and kisses,
Patti
